The Story of Liberty

In the spring of 2001, a vision was born for pastors and churches to have a retreat center in the northwest Tennessee area.  Construction on the first cabin began later that same year and the first couple stayed in the fall of 2002.  The retreat cabin was made available to pastors, ministry leaders and families who just wanted to get away.  Our prayer is that our ministry will allow those in need of a quiet and restful place to have a retreat without incurring huge expenses.

In March of 2006, we began a construction project on a nice conference center equipped with a large kitchen and eating area, a spacious sitting area around a cozy fireplace, and a media center with TV-DVD-stereo system for group settings.  The back of the conference building includes a very nice deck that overlooks a wooded area.  We also built a dormitory.  Each room has twin bunk beds, and bathrooms with two toilets, two showers, and two sinks each.  Both buildings also have large front porches and sitting areas to enjoy the outdoors.  Since the construction of these two buildings, we are a fully functional camp and retreat center, serving churches and ministers for retreats, conferences, training, and outdoor activities, as well as personal, marriage and family enrichment.

In August 2007, LRCC hired a full-time Executive Director as well as a part-time Assistant Director.  So we have staff on site and ready to help you in any way!  Our Board of Directors works closely with the Executive and Assistant Directors to provide a setting and atmosphere that will bring honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ.  In the last five months of 2007, approximately 500 people used our facilities.  Please contact us to see what all the buzz is about!
