Mitch and Debbie Verdell are our Executive and Assistant Directors. Moving to the Weakley County area in August of 2007, they have been working for the Kingdom growth of LRCC and area students, ministers and ministries. Mitch has a Masters Degree in Religious Education and over twenty years experience in student ministry! Debbie has been his favorite sidekick for all those years, focusing on their home and helping in the ministry, especially with “her girls”. They have three sons, Conner, Cole and Addison, who are the favorite part of their student ministry experience!
Billy and Robin Jackson are fellow Kingdom builders, business owners, successful parents, and student ministry volunteers. Billy serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. He has been in this role since January 2008. Billy and Robin have been integral to the growth of LRCC, heading up teams to build the current 1700 square foot deck, lay the tile floor in the conference center, and to assist in Liberty Quest 2010. Even though they reside quite a distance from LRCC in Evans, GA, their heart and passion for the ministry brings them here frequently! Billy and Robin have two daughters, Brittany and Brooke.
Wendell and Kathy Price, also from Evans, GA, joined the Board of Directors in January 2008. Fortunately for LRCC, they bring many gifts to the table! Wendell, as a builder of residences and commercial facilities, helps keep things in good repair at LRCC. He designed and built (with other volunteers) the deck that adds so much to the usability of our facilities. He has helped in clearing some of the properties as needed, and was the crew chief for the laying of the tile in the conference center. Wendell also brings a savvy business sense that helps us think through things thoroughly as we grow. Kathy, working with the books of their construction business, brings her secretarial skills to the Board of Directors as our secretary. She keeps us on task, encourages and motivates us all! Wendell and Kathy have two daughters, Chrissy and Lindsey.
Nathan Tucker, as founder of LRCC, has a special vested interest in the ministry. His heart has always been for the people of Weakley County and the surrounding area. It is his “roots”, and we are so fortunate for the vision God has given him! Nathan lives in Keller, TX, where he pastors Alliance Community Fellowship. He and his wife, Kelly, have three daughters, Natalie Grace, Allie Beth, and Morgan Raye. After donating all of the properties to LRCC in 2008, Nathan now works hard as a member of the Board of Directors to make sure that every decision made is for Kingdom growth and God’s glory!
Stacy Collins joined the Board of Directors in January 2009. As a deacon at First Baptist Church in Gleason, TN, Stacy has a unique perspective. His involvement in the community brings insight into reaching this very community. He works for K T Clay Co, and as City Park Director for the city of Gleason. His relationship to the students that are often our campers helps extend our ministry beyond the weeks of camp. Stacy, living nearby, is able to contribute frequently at various camps and events. His humble servants’ heart is a model to all of us! Stacy and his wife Tammy live in Gleason with their children Kaitlyn and Keaton.
Mike Wilson joined the Board of Directors in January 2009. As owner of Gleason Lumber Co., and as a leader in his church at the First United Methodist Church in Gleason, Mike brings business knowledge and a first-hand perspective of the community. Mike has been able to help with many projects, from the tile floor in the conference center, to the Challenge Course, and many, many smaller upkeep projects in between. Mike also contributes by being in the community we serve. Mike and his wife, Lori, live in Gleason with their three children, Molly Hannah, Frazier, and Sophie. |
